Wrap twice this Wrist Band Pueblo Cognac and you're good to go. It's a perfect accessory as the only thing in your wrist or as a partner for your watch. This unisex item is made out of Italian vegetable tanned leather (aka veg-tan) called Pueblo. It's high-quality leather and the patina...!! After a couple of months of use, it looks like you inherited it from your great grandmother. 

This Wrist Band's sizes are 1 cm (.39") wide and 2,2 mm (5-6 oz) thick. Below there is more info on how to measure your wrist - it specifies the length of the Wrist Band.

Stud colors are either black nickel or antique brass. If this leather color isn't your preferred one please peek these two options: Pueblo Olive and Pueblo Black.

Measure your wrist right

Take some thread, a twine, thin rope, or even a USB-cord and wrap it around your wrist - neither loosely nor tight. Notice the point where the end of the thread meets the thread and then measure that length. My wrists circuit is 17,8 cm (7.01”) so I use the 18 cm (7.09”) Wrist Band. The length of the Wrist Band is designed so that it’s not tight. If it feels a bit tight in the beginning please don’t worry as it’s leather and it will stretch a bit. Luava leather single wrist band pueblo cognac

The leather I use for the Wrist Bands is vegetable tanned Pueblo. It's high-quality leather from a world famous Italian tannery called Badalassi Carlo. Its most recognizable feature is the texture on the surface which they make with a special tool of their own. The surface is matte but the oils used in the dying process make the leather smooth and shiny over time - that's patina. The leather is from a shoulder of a cow so it's thick and strong although the shoulder being near the neck makes the leather a bit flexible. It's dyed through so both sides and inside of the leather is the color cognac.

what is Patina?

Patina is highly appreciated amongst leathercrafts. It's something we strive for and is luckily inevitable. Different leathers patinate differently depending on the tanning process, the quality of the leather, and other factors. Badalassi Carlo uses oils in the tanning and those are the key to the patina. Whenever the leather gets rubbed, stretched, twisted, or in contact with anything over time those interactions bring the oil of the leather to the surface making it smooth and shiny. As well the person using the product has oils in their skin which assists the patinating process. Pueblo Cognac (as you can see in the photo) turns darker and more impressive - something you should be proud of. Making the product

The product looks simple but it takes a whole lot of time to make it. I lay the Pueblo cow shoulder hide to the table with one long side already cut straight. I cut 1 cm (.39") wide strip from the edge with a manual wooden strip cutter in which I can adjust the width to whatever I like. I measure the length to fit the customer's wrist and cut the ends with a steel 1/4 round punch. After that, I bevel the edges from inside and outside. Then I spread clear Tokonole to the edges and burnish them with a wooden edge burnishing tool until the edges shine and feel smooth. This stage takes a lot of time. The final steps are punching a hole to both ends: the other end with a small round punch to attach the metal stud and on the other end I punch a hole with a button hole punch. The last step is marking the product with a Luava logo and it's done.
